Launch Tech USA Warranty Policy
Warranty Period

The standard warranty period for all Launch-branded tools is 12 months.

All currently available subscription-based PRO line diagnostic products, including Launch-branded and all custom products, will remain under warranty as long as the subscription does not lapse past 30 days from the last subscription end date.
Extended warranty

The extended warranty period for all tools will be based on the tool keeping an active subscription. The coverage is limited and will only cover the physical tablet and the physical VCI. The extended service warranty covers failures and damages related to defects in manufacturing and does not cover damages incurred by human error, accidents, misuse, abuse, improper maintenance/care or unauthorized modifications or repairs.

Not covered under extended warranty
​
The following are not covered under the extended warranty policy including but not limited to cables, connectors/adapters, extensions, and chargers. Those damaged parts outside of the first initial warranty would all need to be purchased to be replaced. Discontinued tools and tools sold at clearance do not qualify for extended warranty. Demo tools do not qualify for extended warranty.

Null and Void
​
The extended warranty constitutes as null and void if the subscription on the tool lapse over 30 Days from the last subscription end date. If it is purchased again outside of the lapse period the extended warranty will NOT reactive again on any tool. It will void the warranty if the tool has been serviced by an outside 3rd party as well.

Warranty Coverage

The warranty service covers failures and damages related to defects in manufacturing.

The warranty does NOT cover failures such as human error Damage, accidents, misuse, abuse, improper maintenance, or unauthorized modifications and repairs.
Warranty Start Date

For required registration diagnostic products, the warranty period starts from the initial registration date.

For other products, it starts from the invoice purchase date.

Users must retain the purchase invoice as proof of warranty service.
Warranty Services

For diagnostic products with quality issues within 14 days***, Launch provides a brand-new product replacement service.

Launch offers free repair and replacement services to address quality issues within the warranty period.

In cases where repairs are not possible, Launch will provide a replacement product of the same model and specifications. If no identical model is available, a product with similar functionality and performance will be provided.
Non-Warranty Coverage

The following cases are not covered by free warranty services but may be eligible for paid repair services:

Products that are beyond the warranty period.

Damage caused by unauthorized repairs, misuse, negligence, or accidents (including but not limited to liquid immersion, falls, excessive pressure, etc.).

Damage caused by unforeseen major events such as natural disasters, fire, flood, earthquake etc.

Damage caused by improper installation, maintenance, storage, or use of non-Launch original accessories by the user.

For repaired products sent out by Launch, a 90-day electrical warranty is provided for the replaced and repaired parts, starting from the date of shipment.
After-Sales Service Process

Users can apply for after-sales service by calling the customer service hotline at 1-877-528-6249.

For "New Defective case" or repair cases requiring replacement products, and where the customer needs to return the defective product, the following is available:
a. Repair department will send out replacement after defective units have been received. Replacement will be sent out within 2 business days of receiving defective item.
Data Backup

Before sending the product for repair, please back up important data on the tablet. Data may need to be cleared during the repair process, and Launch is not responsible for data loss.
Other Terms

Launch reserves the right to make the final interpretation of the warranty policy.

Launch reserves the right to adjust the warranty policy based on actual conditions and announce it on the official website or other channels.
¹ Certain tool truck distributors might have longer warranties up to 24 months
² Discontinued tools will only be supported while repair parts are still available. Once they are no longer available, the tools will no longer be supported.
³ Tools that are sold at clearance are sold as is and are not covered under warranty or extended warranty. Launch reserves the right to reject repair requests.
* This does not include subscription-based DIY tools. DIY tools do not qualify for extended warranty.
* If the tool reset is not approved by launch, then the initial warranty only stays active for the new customer until the original subscription end date.
* Tools that have been reset no longer qualify as New Defective. The warranty will start for the new registration date, but it is no longer considered new out of box.
* Demo tools are excluded from extended warranty
